Coastal Pines named Top Technical College of the Year

Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) was named Top Technical College of the Year by James Magazine’s 2018 special Education Issue. Rated in this issue were top universities, top colleges, top success rate, top technical college, top freshman class and best value.
With 22 technical colleges total in Georgia, Coastal Pines Technical College stood out as the first pick in this prestigious list. These rankings were based on several different elements, including graduation rates, teacher-to-student ratio, accreditations and job placement rates.
The State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) selected Coastal Pines Technical College as the 2017 recipient of the Sonny Perdue Award for the TCSG Technical College of the Year. CPTC had the highest enrollment growth at 22.1 percent, the highest graduation rate at 87.1 percent, the largest increase in High School Dual Enrollment, the Most Improvement in Operation Efficiency and, finally, a Superb Licensure Pass rate (95 percent).
Coastal Pines Technical College has a 13-county service delivery area (SDA) covering 7,433 square miles, which is the largest SDA in the Technical College System of Georgia. With seven instructional sites, 19 adult education sites and dual enrollment opportunities with 16 high schools, CPTC is able to conveniently offer courses to meet the needs of any student.
CPTC is widely known for a 99 percent job placement overall, as well as a 94 percent job placement rate in the field of study. With upwards of 130 programs available, students have countless opportunities to complete a degree, diploma or certificate in as little as eight weeks to two years. In turn, these students are able to enter the workforce, being highly skilled in their area of study.
CPTC offers tuition-free programs through the HOPE Career Grant, as well as access to scholarships and grants through the CPTC Foundation.
Coastal Pines Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
